Gill rolled aluminum discus cages are fabricated from 2_ (2 7/8 OD) schedule 40 aluminum pipe. Ground sleeves are schedule 40 PVC pipe and will not rust. Cages employ a vinyl coated steel net support cable to reduce net sag, ensuring maximum net height. Gill High School Discus Cages are designed to the 34.92 degree throwing sector configuration. Allows the net to extend straight forward from the sides to comply with NFSHSA 34.92 degree sector requirements while providing a less restrictive feeling for throwers.
